We begin by preparing the coarse rye pieces and fermenting the dough, thus bringing all the whole grains together to maximize their nutrients and enhance their bioavailability (achieved by the probiotic bacteria present in the fermented dough).

Sunflower seeds are also added to provide a good amount of vitamins, trace minerals, fiber, and beneficial plant-based fatty acids (monounsaturated fats). For added sweetness, we also add a small amount of beetroot molasses to intensify the earthy notes of this wonderful sunflower seed bread. Sea salt is added to enhance the flavor and for preservation and storage purposes.
